LBC Development Bank unveils new branch site
LBC Development Bank inaugurated its Olongapo branch in its new home. When it held its groundbreaking ceremonies last March 16, 2007, it was envisioned to provide better facilities to its customers. That vision became a reality when it opened to the banking public last August 8, 2008. The Guest of Honor was Zambales Vice-Governor Anne Marie C. Gordon, who represented Olongapo City Mayor James "Bong" J. Gordon.

The two-storey building, complete with spacious parking and ample driveway, notwithstanding the homey ambiance inside the branch, speaks of the Bank's commitment for banking convenience. Aside from the usual financial services, other LBC offices like Digiprint are also available. This augments the wide options of its ever-growing patrons the way it has been for the past 12 years.

The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Father Nelson C. Vencilao and was led by the Bank's Chairperson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Ma. Eliza G. Berenguer and head office officers.

LBC Development Bank releases 2008 ad campaign
LBC Development Bank launches its 2008 advertising campaign which will begin on June 1, 2008 up to October of the same year. The campaign's primary aim is to attain broad awareness of the Bank as a major niche player in the banking industry.

The Bank took in a celebrity endorser, the Chairman of the Optical Media Board, Mr. Edu Manzano. A renowned movie actor and an ideal game show host, he is a man with unquestionable integrity, profound wit and sense of humor. As an LBC Development Bank believer, he personally opened his savings account with the Bank.

The tri-media campaign will showcase LBC Development Bank's products and services in broadsheets, top-rated AM and FM radio stations and in the country's leading TV stations. The program is expected to generate multi-dimensional growths for the Bank.

LBC Development Bank opens new QC branch
LBC Development Bank inaugurated its new branch in Quezon City last April 28, 2008. Despite the heavy rains, guests continue to fill the event which is proof of the bank’s loyal following. The blessing was officiated by Most Reverend Father Paulino Manila, CMF and guest of honor was LBC Development Bank’s Chairperson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Ma. Eliza G. Berenguer. Head office officers made sure of their presence as well.

The branch relocated to its new site in Timog Avenue from Cubao ACT Theatre in response to the changing times, having served its customers in the vicinity of the Araneta Center for about five (5) years. In its new location, the bank is geared to provide its banking services to a wider customer base.

LBC Development Bank joins international forum
LBC Development Bank recently attended the Retail Bankers Forum which was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia on April 23-26, 2008. The event was organized by Wincor-Nixdorf, a company that provides retail and retail banking hardware, software and services.

Participants from various countries in the region learned about the best practices of various financial organizations. These were presented in the session and capping each with a very dynamic interaction between the speakers and the audience. The affair was likewise an assembly of latest technologies in retail banking, showcasing Wincor-Nixdorf’s wide array of products in self-service transactions such as the ATMs or Automated Tellering Machines. Aside from learning about Cambodia’s rich culture and heritage, a glimpse of its business environment was showcased to the delegates.

LBC Development Bank forges alliance with premier developer
LBC Development Bank shook hands with its newest partner, New San Jose Builders, Inc., one of the premier property developers in the Philippines for a home financing tie up. LBC Development Bank and New San Jose Builders, Inc. held its memorandum of agreement signing ceremonies on December 20, 2007 at the Renaissance Hotel in Makati City.

LBC Development Bank Chairperson, President and CEO, Ms. Ma. Eliza G. Berenguer, warmly welcomed the bank's tie up with New San Jose Builders, Inc. and looks forward to a fruitful partnership in the coming year. LBC Development Bank also discussed its LBC Bank Easy Pabahay Home Loan to its newest partner developer, through a brief presentation.


LBC Development Bank participates in Indian tech event
In its continuous effort to be abreast with the latest best practices in banking, LBC Development Bank attended a two-day technology event that was held last December 4 - 5, 2007. This 2nd BankTech Congress was conducted in Mumbai, India with focus on increasing operational efficiency and exceeding customer expectations while bridging the gap and creating greater synergy between Information Technology and business.

As this was attended by bankers from all over the world, the two-day congress was divided into six (6) streams. The first three streams on 4th - December focused on Risk Management & Basel II, IT Security and Payments and Delivery Channels while the last three on the second day concentrated on Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning, Financial Frauds Management and Customer Centricity, CRM & Business Intelligence.
